Markets

Scabro supports innovators across the uncrewed systems landscape — from ISR and transport UAVs to maritime drones and advanced logistics platforms. We understand the operational, regulatory, and production demands of each sector, and build the composite systems that power them.

We regularly engage with military stakeholders, from field officers to procurement officials, to stay aligned with real-world needs. Our presence at both European and U.S. defense exhibitions — including XPONENTIAL in Houston — keeps us connected to the pulse of the market.

In past projects, we’ve delivered tooling for fighter helicopter components and reusable composite molds for orbital launch vehicles such as the VEGA rocket. This heritage strengthens our position across all UAV segments.

Defense & ISR

Uncrewed systems for defense operate in a world of high demands and moving targets — both technically and strategically. At Scabro, we understand that. We work closely with military professionals in the field, engage with program managers and defense agencies, and attend key military exhibitions across Europe and the U.S.

We support ISR drone programs, target drones, and deployable airframes with high-precision, scalable composite solutions — while navigating the unique requirements of this market.

We know that not everything is defined yet. UAV regulations, certification pathways, and defense procurement standards are still evolving — and we stay ahead of them. Our flexible tooling and process architecture allows us to adapt quickly, whether your program requires formal certification or not.

Key capabilities:

+ ISR drones
+ High-speed target drones
+ Deployable or foldable structures
+ Lightweight stealth-ready composites
+ Tooling and production systems ready for upscaling
+ Deep understanding of military development cycles and procurement logic

Transport & Heavy Cargo UAVs

The uncrewed transport sector ranges from lightweight delivery drones to high-payload, long-range UAVs operating at near-jet speeds. At Scabro, we build the systems — and the processes — that make both possible.

Some platforms carry 2 kg at 80 km/h. Others fly 150 kg at Mach 0.8. Whether it’s medical supplies across remote terrain, offshore logistics, or military resupply under rugged conditions, we help clients scale their transport vision into flight-ready hardware.

Key capabilities:

+ Composite fuselages for cargo UAVs
+ Integrated wing structures with spar systems
+ Load-bearing, aerodynamic skin panels
+ Scalable tooling for light and heavy payloads
+ Systems integration: hatches, mounts, power, avionics prep
+ Ground effect drones and maritime logistics UAVs

Advanced Sensor Platforms & VTOL Systems

Some clients build quadcopters with lightweight camera payloads. Others develop advanced VTOL platforms for persistent surveillance or tactical ISR. These missions all require stable, lightweight structures ready to integrate with electronics and optics.

Scabro builds sensor-ready composite architectures, including plug-and-play wing assemblies, nacelles with embedded electronics, and stealth-oriented surface treatments where needed.

Key capabilities:

+ VTOL wing systems with folding or removable parts
+ Modular nosecones and sensor mounts
+ Low-vibration, aerodynamically optimized frames
+ Electrical integration readiness
+ Lightweight composite structures for fast iteration

Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs)

From ground effect vehicles to autonomous offshore boats, maritime drones face unique challenges: salt, impact, maintenance, storage. We help you develop the composite hulls and modular structures to survive and perform.

Key capabilities:

+ Ground effect UAV/boat hybrids
+ Salt-resistant, modular composite shells
+ Repairable, access-friendly designs
+ Pre-series tooling for fleet production
